QA Engineer (Frontend Automation & Accessibility)

FULL TIME ROLE
Responsibilities
Audit the existing Cypress E2E test suite and unit test suite.
Categorize and prioritize test migration work.
Deliver a written test migration plan early in the engagement.
Migrate unit tests from Jest to Vitest while maintaining existing test coverage.
Write Cypress specifications for each delivered surface, including authentication flows, navigation shell, role-based access, keyboard accessibility, data table interactions, and multi-step wizard flows.
Test ForgeRock journey flows end-to-end, including login, MFA, email validation, phone validation, password updates, session expiry, and logout.
Run automated accessibility audits using axe-core on every major route.
Enforce zero critical or high accessibility violations as a sprint exit criterion.
Set up and track Lighthouse CI performance and accessibility scores throughout the engagement.
Execute cross-browser testing using BrowserStack.
Triage and document cross-browser failures.
Validate deployments across AWS EKS environments, including development, sandbox, and UAT.
File and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and expected vs. actual behavior.
Verify fixes before closing defects.
Required Skills — Test Automation
Strong Cypress E2E experience.
Experience authoring, maintaining, and refactoring Cypress test suites for React applications.
Unit testing experience with Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills for test automation.
Required Skills — Accessibility Testing
Automated accessibility testing using axe-core.
Manual WCAG 2.1 AA validation.
Experience with Lighthouse CI or Web Vitals monitoring.
Required Skills — Cross-Browser & Defect Management
Experience with BrowserStack or equivalent cross-browser testing platforms.
Structured defect management.
Ability to provide clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
Required Skills — Identity & Authentication Testing
Experience testing OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication flows, including token lifecycle, session management, MFA, and logout.
Familiarity with ForgeRock or comparable identity platforms.
Experience testing login journeys, password reset, identity verification, and authentication/session scenarios.
Required Skills — Cloud & Deployment Validation
Comfortable validating deployments across Kubernetes/AWS EKS environments: development, sandbox, and UAT.
Nice to Have
Experience migrating Jest to Vitest.
ForgeRock-specific test automation experience.
Healthcare or regulated-industry QA experience.
Awareness of HIPAA requirements.
