Role Overview
Responsibilities
Migrate the application from Create React App (CRA) to Vite.
Upgrade React, TypeScript, and React Router to current major versions.
Adopt a new design system and establish design tokens, CSS custom properties, and utility classes.
Remove legacy CSS-in-JS implementations.
Build the new application shell, including a sticky header, collapsible dark sidebar navigation, and footer.
Build new dashboard surfaces, including a personalized hero section with animations, onboarding journey stepper, application tile grid, and supporting panels.
Build redesigned administrative tables for organization and user management with sortable columns, status indicators, search, filtering, and pagination.
Build multi-step modal wizards with form validation and API integration.
Integrate components with authenticated user state, SCIM/IDM APIs, and entitlement data.
Maintain and extend ForgeRock journey integrations, including login, MFA, email and phone validation, password updates, and identity verification.
Coordinate with DevOps on build output, environment configuration, and Docker/Nginx compatibility.
Deploy and validate changes in Kubernetes namespaces on AWS EKS across development, sandbox, and UAT.
Required Skills — Frontend Development
Strong proficiency in React with TypeScript.
Experience with functional components, React Hooks, state management, and Redux Toolkit.
Required Skills — Build & Application Tooling
Experience with Vite or Webpack.
Environment variable management.
Bundle optimization.
Experience migrating large React applications is highly desirable.
Required Skills — Forms & UI Patterns
Experience with React Hook Form, Zod, or equivalent.
Experience building complex multi-step forms, modal workflows, and validation patterns.
Required Skills — Accessibility & UX
Accessible component development using ARIA, keyboard navigation, and WCAG 2.1 AA.
Ability to implement interfaces from high-fidelity UX prototypes or Figma designs.
Required Skills — Identity & Access Management
Hands-on experience with ForgeRock Access Manager (AM) or ForgeRock Identity Management (IDM).
Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and authentication flows in single-page applications.
Required Skills — Cloud & DevOps
Experience deploying frontend workloads to AWS EKS.
Ability to deploy and validate applications across development, sandbox, and UAT.
Experience with Docker and Nginx, including containerized frontend builds, SPA serving configuration, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Nice to Have
Experience migrating Create React App to Vite.
Experience removing styled-components or other CSS-in-JS frameworks from a large codebase.
Experience with Cypress or other E2E testing frameworks.
Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
Awareness of HIPAA requirements.
